Getting started with Page Builder Sandwich
Page Builder Sandwich lets you build pages section by section, either in the normal WordPress block editor or in Sandwich Studio, a full-screen visual editor with a layers panel, undo history, a command palette and keyboard shortcuts. Everything you build is saved as standard WordPress blocks, so SEO plugins read it, other tools can edit it, and the page still shows its content if the plugin is ever switched off. It brings 44 free blocks (68 more in Pro) (layout, accordions, tabs, steps, modals, calls to action, testimonials, forms for Contact Form 7, WPForms or Fluent Forms, maps, booking calendars, QR codes, a table of contents, related posts and more), one-click website kits and section patterns, and a site design panel for global colours, fonts and styles that stays in step with your theme’s theme.json.
Requirements
WordPress 6.8 or later and PHP 8.2 or later; AI agents (MCP) need WordPress 6.9 or later. No other plugin, no jQuery and no particular theme are required. Pro features need a Page Builder Sandwich Pro licence; AI features use your own AI provider key.
Installing
Download the free plugin as a zip, then upload it under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin and activate it. Pages made with earlier versions are converted to blocks in the background, with a backup.
Build a page
Open any page in the block editor and add Page Builder Sandwich blocks, or choose Edit in Sandwich Studio for the full-screen editor with layers and undo history.
Set the site design
Global colours, fonts, styles and breakpoints, kept in step with your theme’s theme.json.

Check accessibility
Flags missing alternative text, weak colour contrast and other problems while you build.
